Privacy Policy

CandidCue Interview Coach helps people prepare for employment interviews. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
Information you provide
We process the email address and password you use to create an account. We also process interview details you choose to provide, which may include a job title, applicant situation, education level, interview format and date, concerns, practice answers, questions, pasted job descriptions, and job-description screenshots.
How information is used
We use this information only to provide account access, create personalized interview guidance, review practice answers, save plans you request, prevent abuse, maintain security, and operate the service. CandidCue does not send your plans or answers to employers and does not use information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
AI and service providers
CandidCue uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and server-side functions. Interview inputs, practice answers, pasted job descriptions, and selected screenshots are processed through Supabase and sent to the OpenAI API to generate guidance. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs containing prompts and responses for up to 30 days unless legally required to retain them longer.
Subscriptions
Apple processes subscription purchases and payment information. CandidCue uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and provide or restore CandidCue Plus access. CandidCue and RevenueCat receive purchase history, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and the CandidCue account identifier needed to provide these features. CandidCue does not receive your full payment-card details and does not use purchase information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Job-description screenshots
A screenshot is transmitted only when you select it and request a plan. CandidCue does not save the screenshot in its database or photo library. The image is processed by Supabase and OpenAI to fulfill the request. Remove names, email addresses, phone numbers, application IDs, and other personal information before selecting a screenshot.
Saved information and retention
Your account email and cloud-saved interview plans remain in Supabase until you delete the plans or your account. Some plans may also be stored locally on your device. Practice answers, pasted job descriptions, and screenshots are not intentionally stored in the CandidCue database. Service providers may retain limited logs under their own security and retention practices.
Your choices
You may choose “Prefer not to say” for education level, omit optional details, remove saved plans, sign out, or delete your account from the app. Account deletion permanently removes the account and associated cloud data. You may remove local app data by deleting the app from your device.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. CandidCue is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by a child under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
